Dear you,
Thursdays are relaxed. I get to sleep in, lay around, and keep warm in my bed for the majority of the morning. After a quick lunch I usually rush off to the bus and spend my afternoon working at the food co-op on Australia's National University campus. Sometimes I enjoy it more than others, and today was one of those days. But it's my last Thursday of routine and normality. So...
To the lunch-hour traffic, chilly metal rail on my backside, walk over the "Look ->" and "<- Look"
To the counting of coins and notes, rinsing of buckets, and making of signs
To the regular customers, newbies, and delivery men
To the overly-anxious manager, my sidekick Petra, and the guy with a handsome face and good hair
To the hippies and tree-huggers, tiny ballerinas, and businessmen
To my lazy, slack hair and style that's allowed while working in such an environment
To the I Am Sam soundtrack, Ella Fitzgerald, and Mum's Mix
Peace out, girl scouts.
Sincerely,
Shae
