Dear you,
The teammates and I went to Melbourne for four days.
We stayed in a hostel called The Nunnery. I shared a bunk with a guy from England and my clothes rested on top of his dirty socks. The nearest toilet was on the next floor and the entrance to the hostel was right outside our room. It never actually got quiet thanks to the traffic, trams, pedestrians, lounge room, TV, and stereos filling up any type of silence.
We went to a rugby game, a market, a musical, two movies, a bus tour, a boat tour, an aquarium, a ballet, a bookstore, and two museums. Not to mention numerous restaurants, including Jamie Oliver's Fifteen, as well as walks through parks and taxi rides. It was full on.
I've come to the conclusion that if I ever get the chance to move to Melbourne, I'm going to take it. It's unbelievably beautiful and creative and diverse. Similar to Seattle except not, because it's Australian. Ha.
Anyway. A video is on it's way. Stay tuned.
Sincerely,
Shae
