lingering vanishing

dear you,

as you may [or may not] know, i've recently moved into irene's place again. i spent three months in a host-family, the williams. the time went by really fast, for i was busy with trips, visitors, jobs, and church. and now, in no time, i'm back in my chilly room listening to school kids outside my window.

you see, though time escaped me, the experience did/has/will not. they will forever be my parents and sister. their house will forever be my home. their parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts will forever be my family. their faith and humor and talents and personalities will forever intertwine with mine. they were just what i needed, when i needed it.

i'm not saying this to flatter them or boast about my experience, for they already know how i feel. my hope is that you, who's disconnected from my everyday life, understand how grateful and blessed i've been by this family. it breaks my heart and mind to think of the day when i depart from their convenient lives. but for now i'll take one meal, one movie, one drive at a time.

sincerely,
shae
